Traditional Latin Mass vs. Novus Ordo, Part 5.1: Addendum

Previous parts in this series:
Part 1: A brief history
Part 2: First half of the Novus Ordo Mass
Part 3: The rest of the Novus Ordo Mass
Part 4: The key differences
Part 5: Liturgical abuse
Part 6: The new Divine Office and sacraments
Part 7: Conclusion

A little over a year ago, I published a series of articles on the differences between the traditional Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo. In part 5, I listed many common liturgical abuses, as well as several uncommon ones. However, there was one uncommon and absurd liturgical abuse that I did not think to add back then. Let me fix that.

  • The Successor of St. Peter and Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church orders pagan fertility idols to be placed in the church during the Holy Mass. This is beyond mere liturgical abuse; it is blasphemy.
